The Underdog: A Rags-To-Riches Story is a strategic role-playing dream-creation adventure game for 2-6 players, aged 16 and up. The gameplay duration varies and ends when players decide, concluding their journey at that point.

In the realm of Eryth, dreams clash with reality, offering everyone a chance to turn their fortunes around. Players choose from 56 unique underdog characters from 6 classes - Dreamers, Survivors, Builders, Advocates, Hustlers, and Caregivers. Each character has talents, qualities, a special skill, and a dream to fulfill. Guide these underdogs through Eryth’s paths: Gathering, Knowledge, Prosperity, and Light, aiming for the Ikigai Zone—a life of purpose and fulfillment.

Navigate obstacles, seize opportunities, and balance nine dimensions of wealth: Community, Cultural, Emotional, Environmental, Economic, Intellectual, Physical, Spiritual, and Vocational. Earn income, acquire assets, and increase wealth dimension points to complete your character's dream while overcoming challenges.

I can give you six reasons why you should back this Kickstarter project. But first, let me tell you this:

This is not just a game created from imagination. This is a game that is 40 years in the making. Creating games and storytelling has been a hobby and a passion, but never a way to earn a living. More importantly, "The Underdog" was created because I've been there.

I've been the underdog, the square peg in the round hole. I've been beaten down, and I've had my share of struggles. In the last 15 years, I've had the honor to work with people who have experienced significant challenges and witnessed their tenacity to create a better life.

So this game represents two things: the dreams that each of us has, and the tenacity, with a dream big enough, of the human spirit to simply live better.
